Brit award winner ‘Dua Lipa’ has recently claimed that woman must work harder to be heard. This has come to light after her appearance at the ILMC on Friday 8th March in London.

Speaking at the ILMC to IQ Mag, she said “As women, we have to work harder to be heard and appreciated,” she also said. “It’s just one of those things – when you’re a female artist, unless you’re playing a piano or a guitar people think you’re manufactured, and you have to take some time to show people your stories and what you’ve gone through. Sometimes it just takes a little bit more explanation and a little more time. But it’s something I’m willing and ready to do to be heard.

“I try to use my platform to speak out; I’ve always been quite outspoken and never been afraid to say things that are true to me. I feel a duty to be a voice for my fans, because they’ve given that [platform] to me.”

Dua has performed 245 shows on her most recent self titled tour to promote her most recent album. Furthermore, it is clear to see Lipa is one of the most hardest working musicians around. However, with these new claims stating she must work harder, it will be interesting to see what she has in store for the future.
