“Felixstowe” by Ervin Munir is a new release which has had me returning to some of my favourite folk tracks. This offering from the singer-songwriter from Norfolk reminds me why folk music never gets old, in fact, to me it always feels fresh which is a bold statement to make given that it is genre rooted with nostalgic qualities.

The story within “Felixstowe” is easy to relate given that it is all about relationship break ups. The way that Ervin sums up the narrative through his words is hard to fault and the vocals he offers matches the sentiment of the words. Additionally, there is a golden quality when it comes to the music with a lap steel guitar hook on display.
