Due to a “number of reasons,” Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has cancelled the small scale Glasto September concert.
The festival is still on track to celebrate its 50th anniversary, despite COVID-19’s decision to prevent it from taking place in 2020 and 2021, but it will now be next year! The organisers, including creator Michael Eavis, previously stated that a September performance could happen, although on a lower scale. However, this is no longer the plan.
Furthermore, the organisers are concentrating on their Worthy Pastures campaign experience, also aiming to make the 2022 return even bigger rather than staging a scaled-down version in late summer.
