Iggy Azalea, the Australian rapper and singer-songwriter, has announced that she will be quitting the music industry. However, luckily for her fans, it will most likely just be for a “few years.”
Why? It appears it has stemmed from her current music video ‘I Am The Stripclub’, where many are accusing the star of ‘Blackfishing.’
Furthermore, the star wrote on Twitter: ‘End of an Era is so special to me because after I drop my album next month I am going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music.’
For those unfamiliar with the word, Blackfishing refers to someone who uses hair styling and makeup to produce and exaggerate particular features to appear to be of black descent.
