Jejune stopped by for a chat!

Colby: Hello, Jejune! Loving your sound! Can you tell us what inspires your music?

Jejune: Inspiration for what we write and play can come from anything we connect with and have enjoyed at some point during our lives. Lyrically, things that carry substance are what we’re working with currently. So anything that can entice an emotional response is a powerful tool that we can convey into a song. Musically, the kind of song that makes you wanna shake and is full of energy. But we do love a slow song too.

Colby: What do you love most about being in a band?

Jejune: For all of us, we want to have fun and cannot wait to be on the stage on a regular basis. Because so much is involved with that, like friends, music and beers.

Colby: If you could live in any city in the world, where would it be and why?

Jejune: It’s got to be Leeds, this place is what we call home now. None of us our from here but we are now. We truly feel accepted here.

Colby: What is the best thing about the Leeds music scene?

Jejune: The music scene here is popping! Bands like Flat Moon, Casino Havana and the rest, we’re all lovely up here so it’s easy to find your scene and be part of something buzzing.

Colby: What can our readers expect before hearing, “Have A Nice Day”?

Jejune: What can you expect before hearing ‘Have a Nice Day’? Your next summer anthem.
