Queens Of The Stone Age have had to cancel several dates on their “The End Is Nero World Tour”. Moreover, the rockers were scheduled to continue their tour until the end of August in Portuga but frontman Josh Homme requires emergency surgery.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the band expressed their regret, announcing, “QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery. Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.”

The band’s message was echoed on social media, where they shared their disappointment with fans on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Queens are gutted we aren’t able to play for you. We apologise for any inconvenience and share in your frustration and disappointment.”

Fans who have purchased tickets for the affected dates are advised to visit the specific festival websites for updates. Those with tickets for headline shows will be contacted directly from their point of purchase with further information.
