Snoop Dogg’s new album causes controversy as the cover for ‘Make America Crip Again’ shows Snoop Dogg standing over a dead body of President Donald Trump. The album is a reference to Ice Cube’s 1991 album cover, ‘Death Certificate’ where he stands over the dead body of ‘Uncle Sam’.

Snoop Dogg uploaded the photo to Instagram but has since been deleted. Snoop’s Publicist commented saying that the album has been released with a new cover but shows Snoop with a blue baseball cap on which says ‘Make America Crip Again’ which takes a hit at Trump’s red baseball caps that read ‘Make America Great Again.’

Throughout the album Snoop comments on Trump, rapping on one of songs ‘The President said he wants to make America great again. Fuck that shit, we gon’ make America crip again.’

But this isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg has sparked controversy with Trump. In March, Snoop released a music video for his song ‘Lavender’ and showed him pulling a fake gun on a clown dressed as Trump.

The President responded to the video at the time on Twitter, saying, ‘Can you imagine what the outcry would be if Snoop Dogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama?’

However, Snoop Dogg said its ‘not a statement or a political act. It’s just good music. Certain people feel like we should make America great again, but that time they’re referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation, so id rather ‘Make America Crip Again.’
