British rockers, You Me At Six return with a fresh new track, ‘Adrenalin‘. It does everything which it states, and the energy flows like a leaking tap.

Furthermore, the group leap forward with thunderous force, and they unleash the power instantly despite its soft opener. Moreover, it all gets underway with a gentle overture which I was not expecting. Also, a tender guitar lead rings out with a smooth beat tapping away in the background.

Josh Franceschi

Frontman, Josh Franceschi then reaches for the mic and he leverages his signature quality. The adrenalin then suddenly gushes out with the band taking no prisoners in the chorus. Here, I can hear a substantial similarity to Imagine Dragons. Nevertheless, it is no replica, and we hear the group delve deep into a unique corner with plenty of new sounds making it into the potent mixture.

I relish that the group are evolving. They are also not afraid to try something new to push their electronic influences to the top of the surface. Moreover, they mingle electronic sounds into their gritty rock foundation, and the result is stimulating.

Towards the latter, the edgy cocktail becomes even more profound, and they finish with one of the most prominent finales I have heard all year (mind you it is only six days into 2021 as of writing this review). Either way, the rock group have set the bar high for the new year, and I imagine this one will be echoing out for quite some time.
