Cardi B, took home the best Hip-Hop Artist award at this years IHeartRadio music awards. However fans and fellow award goers where left bemused as to why Cardi B was not in attendance.
However a speech reveals that she was “busy doing a couple of things”. This was broadcast in her pre recorded acceptance video.
The last award ceremony which Cardi was seen at was the Grammys with her husband Offset. This also caused confusion due to a statement she made 2 months before the event about the couples marriage.
She said, “So everybody been bugging me and everything, and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now,” she said then. “And we’re really good friends and, you know, we’re really good business partners…he’s always somebody that I went to to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”
“And it’s nobody fault,” she continued. “I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce, and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
Nevertheless, the pair have since reignited the flame and are well and truly back together.
