Music Of The Spheres’ by Coldplay – Album Rating: 5/5 ★★★★★

Coldplay has heralded the dawn of a new era! It is the age of emoji song titles. Although many people are scratching their heads, wondering how you can pronounce a song title made up of emojis, others argue that it is a groundbreaking approach to modern music, and given that the emoji tracks are simply short, album fillers, why not? We are all for it.

With their current album, ‘Music Of The Spheres,’ the band takes a new direction. The emoji title tracks will not be discussed in depth in this review because they are small pieces that lead into the next track and all share the same sense, a space-like aura with a dreamy feeling stretching out of them. Furthermore, the album essentially begins with their critically praised single, ‘Higher Power.’ It’s music with a lot of intensity, and the electrifying tones that emerge out of the mix instantly fascinate.

Powerful Aura

‘Humankind’ comes next. It has a similar edge to ‘Higher Power,’ but it penetrates deeper into an electronic realm, with a synth driving the charge. Coldplay’s characteristic stadium-filling music appears unexpectedly, accompanied by a powerful vocal performance from frontman Chris Martin. ‘People Of The Pride’ is the seventh tune on the album. It is a powerful song, with an unconventional overture featuring a brass sounding instrument propelling us forward, followed by a magnificent bassy guitar riff and a significant upbeat bridge, similar to what you might expect from a band like Muse.

The album’s final track exemplifies the album’s overall quality. Furthermore, ‘Coloratura’ offers a calming atmosphere. The sounds that leak out of the mix are tranquil, and the band’s soothing soundscape leaves a lasting impression.
