The best global selling single of 2018 goes to Camila Cabello with ‘Havana’. Furthermore, the track sold more than 19 million copies worldwide last year according to the IFPI. A large amount of those were “equivalent” sales made up of streams on audio and video platforms.

The track which came first in an all star studded playlist saw her beat Drakes ‘God’s Plan’ by 4 million sales and both Ed Sheeran songs ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Perfect’.

Bizarrely, five of the top 10 biggest worldwide songs of 2018 including ‘Havana’ were actually released the previous year but had considerable growth in 2018.

Moreover, Cabello, who has had a very a successful solo career since leaving girl group Fifth Harmony revealed on her official Twitter account, that the song has changed her life and it is clear to see why.
