Hayley Williams, ‘My Limb’ – Single Review

Hayley Williams is back once again with her new release ‘My Limb‘. It is a trailblazer for modern pop rock with a refrain that excites and Hayley’s unique trajectory pays off tenfold from the moment she kicks off.

‘My Limb‘ is one of many new releases which have emerged from Hayley in recent times. But, this one is potentially her most compelling track yet. It is classic Hayley with her harmonically-rich vocal tones blossoming as the track progresses, yet it gives so much more than we have heard previously.

Vocally, Hayley reaches far from the box, and she smashes it with a cleverly-written hook which is incomparable elsewhere. So much so, she is fearless with an approach which proves her versatility as a modern artist in a competitive space. Her tone is tender, but it thrills with a harrowing aura which is timeless.

Visionary

Musically ‘My Limb‘ is visionary. The guitar is epic, and it carries a low grungy timbre which satisfies with intent. It also proves cohesive with it fitting into the vibe of the track like a glove. Additionally, the structure within the arrangement is regularly changing, bringing a dynamic to the forefront; it is intoxicating!

Reinventing her sound constantly, Hayley Williams is undoubtedly one of the greatest songwriters of recent times. She bestows a top-class musical mindset, and she captures a new mood and sentiment with each new track. Also, Hayley does not create a nuance either; she mixes it up to the point where you may wonder if it came from the same artist. It is mind-blowing! Nevertheless, her ability to belt out a hypnotising vocal helps too.
