COMEDIA is proud to release Making Friends With Time, the new single by the Swedish singer-songwriter Helena Montgomery. The song is a warm and uplifting country-flavoured pop track produced by multiple Swedish Grammy-winning Dan Sundquist, who has previously worked with the multi-million streamed artist Molly Sandén and Eurovision Song Contest contestant Anna Bergendahl a.o.
Helena Montgomery has set out to prove that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. A latecomer to the music business she started studying songwriting and music production at SAE Institute Stockholm just a few years ago. In 2020 she was signed by the Swedish indie label COMEDIA and COMEDIA Music Publishing / Misty Music for a worldwide publishing deal.
Helena Montgomery has been said to sound both like a female version of the Swedish band Weeping Willows’ singer Magnus Carlson and Suzanne Vega. Her playlists feature both LeAnn Rimes, Dixie Chicks and Coldplay. But Helena Mongomery is definitely an artist in her own right.
Her songs are inspired by her own life as ”an ordinary woman” in Stockholm and based on personal experiences, but subjects that other people can relate to. Open, honest, naked and fragile are words to describe her songs – and there is a certain strength in the fragile, which makes the songs hopeful.
