Kanye West is facing legal troubles as he is being sued by a fan who claims the rapper physically assaulted him during an encounter in downtown Los Angeles back in January 2022.

The plaintiff, Justin Poplawski, a self-proclaimed “well-respected autograph dealer,” and his wife, Tiffany Marshall, have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Court. The legal documents obtained by The Blast reveal that Poplawski is accusing Kanye West of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of consortium.

According to Poplawski’s account of the incident, he approached Kanye on January 13, 2022, seeking an autograph. However, instead of a simple interaction, things took a violent turn as Kanye allegedly punched Poplawski. The incident has left Poplawski and his wife seeking legal redress for the physical and emotional trauma they claim to have endured.
