In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Dua Lipa stirred the pot by expressing her admiration for iconic Britpop bands Oasis and Blur while labeling their behavior in the 1990s as “obnoxious.” The ‘Dance The Night’ hitmaker, however, made it clear that she consciously chooses to “separate the art from the person” when it comes to these influential acts.

While praising the musical contributions of Oasis and Blur and acknowledging their impact on her upcoming album, Dua Lipa suggested that she has not had any personal encounters with the bands. She emphasized her focus on the musical element, stating, “Sometimes you have to separate the art from the person… It’s more like the music element, the aspect of it that I’m really connected to.”

However, not everyone appreciated Dua Lipa’s perspective. Liam Gallagher, known for his outspoken nature, took to social media to respond to her comments. The former Oasis frontman branded Dua Lipa as “jealous” and fired back at her critique of the 1990s Britpop scene.
