The Boardmasters festival has just announced that the immensely talented Sam Fender will be headlining the event this year. The 29-year-old ‘Dead Boys’ singer, known for his raw and emotive performances, is set to take center stage at the five-day Cornwall extravaganza.

Fans were taken aback in 2022 when Sam Fender decided to prioritize his mental health, leading to the cancellation of several concerts. However, the artist has made a triumphant return to the music scene, and his inclusion in the Boardmasters lineup is a testament to his enduring popularity.

The announcement came on Thursday (01.02.24) as part of the second wave of artist reveals for the 2024 festival. Fender’s participation was teased earlier when his lyrics were spotted projected on the cliffs of Newquay, Cornwall, sparking widespread speculation among fans.

Having made his Boardmasters debut a decade ago, Sam Fender has come full circle, now securing headliner status for the upcoming event. Festival organizers expressed their excitement, stating, “You guessed it… Sam Fender is coming to Boardmasters, this time securing headliner status exactly 10 years on from his Boardies debut in 2014 where he played The View stage.”
