‘This Is Why’ by Paramore – Single Rating: 4/5 ★★★★☆

The American rock band Paramore has returned with a brand new track, ‘This Is Why’. The band hasn’t put out a single in the last five years. Therefore this new release serves as their comeback for the group. The song is on the band’s upcoming sixth studio album, which will also be titled the same name; it is to arrive in February of 2023.

Paramore remind us all why they are still one of the top rock groups in the world by ushering in a new age for their sound. They have an infectious nature that satisfies the requirements of their devoted followers. Also, they most likely welcome a new line of admirers to the forefront!

Hayley Williams is as remarkable as she has ever been, delivering a mesmerising vocal performance dripping with emotionally resonant lyrics. As is her custom, Hayley delves quite deep into her story. She discusses the challenges she faces as the frontwoman for one of the most well-known bands in the world, including the fact that she is constantly under the scrutiny of the public while also having to deal with challenges in her personal life without the luxury of being able to hide away.

The music taps into various new styles, and although it is a stride away from their previous releases, the group still provides their trademark substance!
