Foo Fighters smash down the GSGM office walls with their latest release, ‘No Son Of Mine‘. Play this one loud!

Kicking off as they mean to go on, the Foo’s take no prisoners with a sound which leaps out of the speakers with thunderous quality. Moreover, a guitar riff greets us instantly with a flavour which is instantly recognisable to the rockers. Dave Grohl then rises to the top of the mix with a vocal which can do little wrong! His signature vocal rings out with potency, and he leads us into one of the most standout guitar bridges to grace the airwaves in recent times.

Fun

I sense that the band had a tonne load of fun recording this one. I can feel the energy dripping off every note. Also, each member proves that they are as fresh and eager today as they ever have been. Additionally, they crash through the rock noise popping out currently, and they set the bar high for 2021 rock and roll.

Lyrically, Dave tells a story about how his son will not involve himself in a particular behaviour type. His words envisage what his son will be like, mind you; it is unusual given that all of his children are female. Nevertheless, maybe he is speaking about his future son, who is yet to be born? Either this or he is just using ‘son’ as a metaphor.

Overall, ‘No Son Of Mine‘ grips from the instant. Also, the edgy texture which is brought to the table is refreshing, and I can only imagine how colossal this one will sound once they return to live shows.
