Passenger unleashes yet another gem with his latest release, ‘Sword From The Stone‘. It is a track which hits with piercing emotional quality from the outset.

For anyone, who fell in love with Passenger’s 2012 classic, ‘Let Her Go‘, this one is for you. It has a comparable direction with a melody which is somewhat similar. Mind you, the Brighton native also brings out a fresh new flavour, and the result is mesmerising!

Taking us far from the crazy world we are witnessing presently, Passenger carries us on a journey and he leaves an indent like no other. Moreover, ‘Sword From The Stone‘ kicks off with a gradual piano arrangement accending to the mix’s top. Also, a guitar rhythm appears and it grips with potency.

Relevant

36 year old, Passenger (Michael Rosenberg) then leaps forward to the mic, and he proves how relevant he is in the modern game. His lyrics provide a nail-biting sense of reality with the singer speaking about families and missing those who mean a lot to us. His poetry makes sense even more in the current climate with the majority of us stuck at home.

As the track progresses, an eclectic range of sounds push through the full and warm mix. I relish that the energy flows even despite the severe and slow vibe. Additionally, I cannot get enough of the guitar solo that greets us towards the latter; it is angelic and plucks at our heartstrings instantly with its pleasing character.

So, is this going to be the new ‘Let Her Go‘? It would not surprise me to hear this one doing the rounds in the same way his mega-hit did nine years ago.
