Frank Turner, the renowned ‘Recovery’ singer, has achieved a monumental feat by breaking the world record for the most shows played across multiple cities within 24 hours. Over the span of Saturday and Sunday (04.05.24 and 05.05.24), Turner triumphed over the previous record-holder, Hunter Hayes, by delivering an impressive 15 sets, each lasting 20 minutes, across various locations in the UK.

This remarkable endeavor was not merely a personal milestone for Turner; it was a passionate endeavor in support of independent music venues and record shops, as well as a campaign for the Music Venue Trust. With over 3000 attendees gathered during this whirlwind tour, Turner succeeded in not only setting a new record but also in bringing communities together for a memorable musical experience.

Reflecting on his achievement, Turner expressed both pride and exhaustion, acknowledging the immense effort it took to accomplish this feat. In a statement, he shared, “I’m extremely proud — and yet more exhausted — after completing the challenge to get the world record.”

Turner’s commitment to supporting the music industry’s grassroots establishments is evident in his tireless dedication. While reminiscing about a similar feat he accomplished in 2009 with 24 shows in 24 hours in London, Turner emphasized that this recent endeavor posed an even greater challenge, both physically and logistically.

As Turner concludes this monumental chapter, he humorously remarks, “Time for some sleep!” Indeed, after such an extraordinary accomplishment, some well-deserved rest is undoubtedly in order for the indefatigable musician.

Congratulations to Frank Turner for not only breaking records but also for championing the spirit of live music and the vibrant communities that sustain it.
