Justin Bieber, ‘Anyone’ – Single Review

Justin Bieber is kicking off his 2021 with a bang with his latest gem, ‘Anyone‘.

This track is already sending a shockwave across the Bieber camp and fans cannot get enough of it! I can see why. It has a quality which is difficult to refuse, and Bieber oozes confidence which cuts through his potent mix.

Sticking to his signature poppy sound (although he may not like that given his previous quotes), he sounds delightful. Moreover, his angelic tones glide through the airwaves, and he proves he still has it given the countless of years he has been riding at the top of the charts.

What I relish most about this delivery is the poignancy within his lyrical structure. Furthermore, Justin hits home with vigour, and his poetry plucks at the heartstrings with passion. I can hear a One Direction vibe peaking out of the foundation, especially within the chorus sections. Nevertheless, Bieber still keeps true to himself, and he opens up a new chapter in his songbook.

Musically, ‘Anyone‘ arrives just that little bit different to his previous hits. Moreover, it kicks off with an unorthodox overture with an underwater drip effect which rises to the top of the surface alongside Bieber’s mesmerising vocal. As the track progresses, the beat takes us down a new route with the cadence flowing with a unique texture. It also stands out like the proverbial thumb with a direction that I am sure Bieber will follow as we head further into the year.
