Little Mix are continuing their trend of naming their singles about the style of their new music. Moreover, ‘Sweet Melody’ comes with a super sweet melody, and if you are a Little Mix fan, this one will be the medicine you crave!
Vocally, the girls shine radiantly with angelic deliveries. Furthermore, their tone is heavenly with each of them rising to the occasion in style. Also, as you would expect from the worlds biggest current girl group, they harmonise well with each other, and they leave no room for any dissonance with each note catapulting forward with conviction.
Musically, ‘Sweet Melody’ comes with a refreshing and authentic sound. The beat grips instantly, and the rhythm pushes us into a unique realm with it regularly switching pace and style. For me, I enjoy how the girl group keep reinventing themself. Moreover, although their signature sound flourishes, they also introduce a new vibe which is difficult to criticise.
Striking Lyrics
As the track progresses, the musical foundation becomes more in-depth with the tempo picking up rapidly in the latter. Also, they unleash striking lyrics which many fans believe is a shot at Zayn Malik. In all fairness to the fans, it is evident to see how they came to this judgement.
Furthermore, we hear the girls sing “He was in a band, full of songs about me // Every time we go dancing, I see his straying eyes // Gave him too many chances. He would lie, he would cheat, over syncopated beats // I was just his tiny dancer, he had control of my feet // There was no song in the world to sing along”.
