Lizzo has found herself entangled in a legal battle with her former stylist, Asha Daniels. According to court documents exclusively obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Daniels has filed a lawsuit against the beloved “Rumours” hitmaker, accusing her of fostering a hostile and unlawful work environment.
In the lawsuit, Daniels alleges that Lizzo failed to intervene and address disturbing mistreatment perpetrated by her management team against their fellow colleagues. Specifically, Daniels has named wardrobe manager Amanda Nomura as a central figure in the alleged misconduct. The stylist claims that Nomura’s actions created an environment that was both sexualized and racially charged, and, in some instances, outright illegal.
One of the most distressing accusations within the lawsuit centers on Nomura’s purported “racist and fatphobic comments.” Daniels asserts that these derogatory remarks were not isolated incidents but rather occurred repeatedly, creating a toxic atmosphere for those working alongside Lizzo. Moreover, Nomura’s alleged cruelty extended beyond mere words, as she reportedly made disparaging comments about Lizzo’s backup dancers, further contributing to the distressing environment.
