In a recent interview with KISS FM, Selena Gomez reveals that Swifty and her Mother cried when listening to her new music. When playing both Taylor Swift and her Mother her new songs and the respective videos. Selena said that their reaction was nothing but tears.

Selena Gomez played Taylor and her Mum the video for ‘Lose You To Love Me’ and ‘Look At Her Now’. This private listening party took place at their house.

Selena said ‘they had been on that journey with me intimately’. As Swifty and her family have been in Selena’s life for over a decade now. She also stated that ‘they were crying because of how proud they were for me stepping into a whole new era of my life and it not involving the horrible things, the abuse, the emotional chaos.’

Selena released back to back songs in the form on ‘Lose You To Love Me‘ and ‘Look At Her Now‘. Both songs being from her new album ‘Rare‘, which is due for release January 10.

Not only are the songs emotional lyrically, but the journey Selena has been on over the years has caused much pain. The videos match perfectly with the songs. With the ‘Lose You To Love Me‘ video being visually vulnerable and raw. The song pours emotion, and the video shows this too.

However, with the video for ‘Look At Her Now‘, the message is more empowering. It shows that even through all of the struggles you can come out better on the other side. With colourful and playful visuals, this video is much more positive.

There is no direct reference to Justin Bieber within the song. However, fans have connected the links in Selena’s new music. Her new music brings an insider look and a definite end to ‘Jelena’.

After many years of on and off relationships, Justin Bieber started dating Hailey Baldwin in June of 2019. The pair then got engaged the month after. This came as a shock, especially as it came less than six months after Bieber and Selena last broke up.

In a lengthy note which Bieber posted on social media earlier this year, Justin said: ‘I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships.’
