Colby: What Do You Enjoy Most About Being A Musician?

Cathy: Well first of all I wouldn’t call myself a musician because i don’t actually play an instrument. I tried learning how to play the piano but gave up very quickly. But what i enjoy about mixing up samples & being a singer-songwriter is probably the fact that it makes me extremely happy. I feel most creative when I sing & write songs, having visions & aspirations about music video concepts, just the whole thinking process & thinking it out. I like that it keeps me going & makes me feel like there’s some purpose I’m fulfilling. I can totally be creative & let my mind run wild. I feel lifted & can feel myself getting excited when I hear a sample/demo & already know what words I’m gonna sing/write to it.

Colby: Which Track Of Yours Means The Most To You?

Cathy: Well, since this is my debut. I only really have this one song that is ‘Distorted Heart’. But I have some other songs that I can hopefully work on after my debut Single is out & the promotions are over. So as of now I have no favorites but hopefully that’ll change soon.

Colby: The First-Ever Gig You Played, Can You Remember It? How Was It?

Cathy: I’ve actually never had a singing gig. I did some choir during middle school but that was about it. I also was only in the background. I feel like back then I would’ve been too nervous anyway, to sing by myself infront of a crowd.

Colby: What Do You Think Is The Key To Success As A Musician?

Cathy: Honestly, I’m not too sure what the key would be, because people either have success or they don’t. But I’m not too sure if there is a specific way of becoming successful. It tends to be maybe luck or randomness from what I’ve witnessed. But I think that you can find success very easily these days but maintaining it would be a different story.

Colby: If You Wasn’t A Musician, What Job Would You Be Doing?

Cathy: I never really had an idea of what I’d wanted to do in life. All I really did was school until last year. I tried to look for a job because in the last 2 years I went to school to study how to be a Graphic Designer & wanted to do further training in a company but I haven’t had much luck finding a stable job/place.
