Paige Stein stopped by for a chat!

Colby: Paige, your journey in the modeling world began at a very young age. Can you share with us what initially sparked your interest in modeling, and how did you take your first steps into the industry?

Paige: I always loved fashion and the ideal of acting but I didn’t know what to do so I told my parents. My dad and my Aunt Susie started reaching out to agencies and within a few short months I signed with Metro Faces International, and it has been an amazing ride since then.

Colby: North Carolina Fashion Week played a pivotal role in your career. Can you describe your feelings and experiences during your debut in December 2022 and your subsequent appearance in March 2023? How did these experiences shape your perspective on modeling?

Paige: My first fashion show was exciting and scary. It was so cool getting your hair and makeup done and then dressing up in outfits from designers. I was nervous on that first walk but when I was invited to the next show I was surprised and couldn’t wait to do it again. Doing those two shows made me realize that this is what I want to do, and I hope I can continue doing it.

Colby: Being the youngest of five siblings and sharing your home with a pet Bearded Dragon must have a unique influence on your life. How has your family and your pet contributed to your personal growth and your modeling career?

Paige: My mom and dad are so supportive. Without their support I don’t think I would have had the chance at the experiences I have had over the last year. Lizzie, my pet bearded dragon, gives me some peace and helps me relax. She has been important too.

Colby: Your style is distinct and youthful, which has garnered attention in the industry. Can you tell us more about your fashion inspirations and how you express your individuality through your modeling work?

Paige: That is a hard question to answer. I guess I am not into what is “hot” or “trending”, I like what I like and I like what makes me feel comfortable. Feeling comfortable is key. I guess you can say I do me, not what others want me to be, if that makes sense? I create my own trend.

Colby: Your journey is described as a blend of passion, dreams, ambition, and a down-to-earth personality. What advice do you have for other young individuals aspiring to break into the modeling industry while staying true to themselves?

Paige: I would hope that other people will experience the support of their family like I have. It makes things easier, but I also know that is not always going to happen for everyone. If I was to give someone advice, I guess I would say that you must believe in yourself. If no one else is helping you then you must help yourself. Research agencies, study models, work on you, and never give up. I get a lot of “no” but if I let the no stop me, then I won’t get to where I want to be. I look at a “no” simply as another opportunity to turn it into a “yes”.
