In an exclusive backstage interview at his final London O2 show, Rebecca Judd sat down with hip-hop icon 50 Cent to delve into the legacy of his groundbreaking album ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ as part of his “The Final Lap” tour, commemorating its 20th anniversary.

Reflecting on the album’s creation, 50 Cent shared a candid perspective, saying, “If you had asked me to make a wish in 2003, I would’ve just wished that my music was a hit. I didn’t see 20 years ahead in music like that. I’m just that at the moment for it to work.”

The conversation delved into the challenges faced by artists in the industry. 50 Cent provided insight into the pitfalls that many musicians encounter, stating, “Most artists, they think they’re ready before they are. That’s why we have One Hit Wonders in Hip Hop culture. They have that first hit, get pulled away for performances and the distractions that come with success, and then they’re stuck without the training to create the next song.”
